HiHello
US provider with a deep enterprise feature set and top ratings, but purely US hosting.
HiHello (HiHello, Inc., founded 2018, headquartered in Palo Alto, California) is a US provider of digital business cards with a strongly developed B2B and enterprise offering. In the overall comparison, HiHello reaches a score of 76 out of 100, positioning itself as a feature-rich, internationally oriented competitor. The platform achieves its highest individual scores in the categories of feature scope (92/100), team and admin management (90/100) and user ratings (90/100). The offering includes digital cards with QR code, NFC, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, centralized email signature management for Gmail and Outlook, lead forms, analytics and custom branding.
The rating is significantly weaker for the criteria that are central to German B2B customers: the GDPR score is 60/100 and the support language score is 58/100. The main reason is the exclusive US hosting as well as the lack of German-language support. HiHello is therefore suited above all to internationally positioned teams that value feature depth and identity management and whose data protection requirements permit a third-country transfer to the USA.
Strengths
- Extensive enterprise feature set: SSO (OAuth 2.0/SAML), SCIM, directory sync with Okta, Entra ID, Google Workspace and Workday, plus automated bulk onboarding and offboarding
- Broad CRM and marketing integrations (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Marketo, Mailchimp) plus centralized email signature management for Gmail/Outlook
- SOC 2 Type II certification with annual penetration tests and transparent trust/security documentation including a subprocessor list and DPA
- Very good user ratings (G2 4.6, Trustpilot 4.7, Google Play 4.8) with particular praise for usability; good feature scope already in the Business plan
- Complete sharing options: QR code, NFC cards, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet as well as analytics, lead forms and custom branding
Data protection & server location
On data protection, HiHello shows the decisive disadvantage from a German perspective: the entire hosting runs on Google Cloud US-Central (Iowa, USA); there is no EU or Germany data residency. The subprocessors used (including Google, Slack, Twilio, Mailgun, HubSpot) are US-based as well.
Personal data of German users is therefore processed in a third country. The transfer is safeguarded via standard contractual clauses (SCCs) and registration under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (as well as the UK and Swiss-US DPF); a DPA is available, whose governance is structured under Irish law.
On the compliance side, HiHello can demonstrate a SOC 2 Type II certification with over 120 controls and annual penetration tests as well as GDPR readiness. An ISO 27001 certification is not indicated. This category score of 60/100 reflects the tension: a solid certification and transparency situation, but data processing outside the EU.
For GDPR-sensitive German companies, the missing EU/DE server location remains a structural disadvantage compared with providers hosting in Germany; based on the experience with previous transfer arrangements, a DPF framework does not replace a permanently legally secure alternative to EU hosting.
Enterprise readiness & integration
In terms of enterprise suitability, HiHello is among the stronger providers in the comparison (enterprise integration 76/100, team and admin management 90/100). The platform offers SSO via OAuth 2.0 and SAML, SCIM provisioning and directory sync with Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace and Workday, so that onboarding and offboarding run automatically through the existing identity infrastructure. A central admin dashboard, bulk provisioning, team templates and role-based administration round out the team management. On the integration side, HiHello covers common CRM and marketing systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Marketo, Mailchimp) and offers centralized email signature management for Gmail and Outlook.
There are limitations regarding the programming interface and device management: instead of a full public REST API, only an embedded Zapier integration (beta) is available, which dampens the score for enterprise integration. A dedicated MDM connection (Microsoft Intune, Jamf) is not clearly documented as a product integration; distribution runs via SSO and directory sync. SCIM, directory sync and advanced SAML are in part reserved for the Business plan (5 to 100 users) or the Enterprise plan (from 101 users).

This means a third-country transfer takes place, safeguarded via standard contractual clauses (SCCs) and registration under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. A DPA is available. For GDPR-sensitive German companies, however, the missing EU/DE server location remains a structural disadvantage (GDPR score 60/100).

What does HiHello cost for teams?
We deliberately do not list specific prices, as they change frequently and are not transparently and fully available for all providers. All prices are stated in USD.
The Personal plan is free and Professional is paid; the Business plan (5 to 100 users) includes team templates, CRM integrations, SSO, directory sync and an admin dashboard, and the Enterprise plan from 101 users is priced individually. It is best to request the current terms directly from the provider.
