MyTaag

MyTaag is operated by TAAGSOLUTIONS GmbH from Hamburg, which was launched in 2020 by Davis Zöllner and Berkay Cankiran, founders who were minors at the time. The company gained recognition in 2021 through a deal on "Die Höhle der Löwen" (Carsten Maschmeyer), followed by an investment from Schoeller Holdings.

The product consists of NFC and QR based digital business cards with a B2B focus ranging from mid-sized companies to large corporations. Perhaps the most robust enterprise reference in the German market: the rollout across all BMW dealerships in Germany.

Functionally, MyTaag covers the basic requirements: central admin dashboard, corporate design, Apple/Google Wallet, lead capture including business card scanner and statistics. In the overall result, MyTaag reaches 62 out of 100 points.

This places the provider in the solid midfield: strong on data protection and support, but with clear gaps in the enterprise integration stack. MyTaag is therefore better suited to smaller teams and hardware-oriented use cases than to IT-driven corporate rollouts with high automation demands.

On data protection, MyTaag is most strongly positioned with 82 out of 100 points. According to the provider, data is stored and processed exclusively in data centers in Frankfurt am Main; an earlier reference to the AWS region eu-central-1 (Frankfurt) was found in the website's source code, but no hosting provider is named explicitly on the security page.

Standardized data processing agreements (AVV) are available for corporate customers, and the platform advertises full GDPR compliance based on Privacy by Design/Default and SSL/TLS encryption. The NFC chips themselves contain only encrypted links, no personal data.

An honest deduction is warranted for the ISO 27001 status: the provider merely states that the platform is "operated in accordance with the standard", and unlike, for example, Lemontaps (TÜV SÜD) or Spreadly (ISO 27001:2022), no clear certification proof is available. ISO 9001 is named as a certification.

A SOC 2 attestation is missing, though this is rarely critical for purely German/EU-oriented procurements. For regulated industries, the unclear 27001 status remains subject to review.

The enterprise integration score of just 32 out of 100 points is MyTaag's clear weak point. Dedicated single sign-on via SAML or OIDC is not advertised, nor is SCIM for automated user provisioning or MDM connections (Microsoft Intune, Jamf).

An open REST API is not evidenced, unlike competitors such as Lemontaps, Spreadly or wazzl, which do offer REST APIs. In terms of integrations, MyTaag documents HubSpot, Zapier and an Azure Active Directory import; together with CSV export, this covers basic CRM and user connectivity, but it does not replace fully automated on/offboarding.

Team administration reaches a mediocre 52 points: the central admin dashboard with corporate design is present, but documented bulk provisioning and fine-grained role models are not evidenced. On feature scope (72 points) and support/language level (74 points), German-language help center, free support call and email at hello@mytaag.com, MyTaag performs decently, although isolated user reports criticize support availability and no published SLA is available.
