beCard is offered by Behires, an Austrian provider based in Graz (Behires Digital GmbH, founded in 2016) and Vienna (Behires Services GmbH, which handles operations and is responsible for the imprint). The solution covers the entire spectrum of digital business cards and is expressly aimed not only at individual users but also at teams and companies.

For the German-speaking market, beCard is thus one of the few providers that combine genuine central team management, a broad range of features and a documented GDPR connection under one roof. In our overall assessment, beCard reaches 72 out of 100 points.

The profile is clearly SME-oriented: strong on features and team administration, with recognizable gaps in enterprise integration. Anyone evaluating beCard should be aware of this positioning in order to measure the solution against the right requirements.

On data protection, beCard reaches 78 out of 100 points, placing it above average. The provider states that it hosts all collected data in a data center in München (Germany) and documents an ISO 27001 certification as well as compliance with strict EU data protection requirements.

For German-speaking B2B use, this is a relevant plus point, especially since many competitors come from the USA and host there. Two limitations keep the rating from a top position: first, it is not clearly documented whether München involves a German hoster or the provider's own infrastructure.

Second, we could not confirm the availability of a data processing agreement (AVV) or a SOC 2 certification; companies with elevated compliance requirements should request both directly from the provider. It should also be borne in mind that the responsible entities (Behires Digital GmbH, Graz, and Behires Services GmbH, Vienna) are based in Austria; however, data processing takes place within the EU and, according to the provider, in Germany.

For business use, beCard presents a two-sided picture. In team and admin management, the solution convinces with 80 out of 100 points: the "Spaces" or "Business Manager" offering is a genuine team offering with central administration, role assignment, consistent branding, statistics and an unlimited number of centrally managed cards.

Bulk provisioning and an admin console are also available. The feature range itself is the strongest category at 90 out of 100 points: NFC cards, QR codes, Apple and Google Wallet, email signature management, lead capture, a paper business card scanner with OCR, analytics and a REST API are documented.

Enterprise integration comes out significantly weaker at only 42 out of 100 points. Classic identity features of larger IT organizations, SSO (SAML/OIDC), SCIM provisioning, MDM integration and Entra ID provisioning, are not verified.

The breadth of integrations is also modest, essentially Mailchimp and Zapier; deep CRM integrations with Salesforce or HubSpot as well as white label, a custom domain and custom CSS we could not confirm. In practice this means: for SMEs and specialist departments with central administration needs, beCard is well positioned, but for company-wide IT rollout with automated provisioning the maturity level is currently not sufficient.
